After the second song, Freddie wants a repeat of last night. "Tell you what, why don't you sing us that football that song you know?" They start to sing it, but Freddie then says, "Let's do it together," and suddenly shouts, "Shut up!" They start it up again, and he joins them for a few bits of it. The audience sing the football song again during the next break in the show, after A Kind Of Magic, and Freddie asks them, "Is everybody in a happy mood?" As if he needs an answer! "Would you like to play? What would you like to play?" The audience then start singing We Will Rock You, so Freddie foregoes the vocal exchange and the band jump into Under Pressure, after which he does the vocal exchange with them. At the end of it, he tells the audience in jest after they match his every note: "Fuck you!" The gag would stick for the rest of the tour. After a huge reaction following Another One Bites The Dust, he says, "Thank you very much for being such a beautiful audience tonight, yeah! You people are always good to us." He then gets serious for a moment. "Let me see what you think. If you have been reading about stories about Queen in the press about us splitting up, it's a load of shit, okay?" He then shouts with enthusiasm, "You understand? Yes? Yes? Don't forget it!" After the slower-than-usual impromptu, the band offer a partial version of the Spencer Davis Group's Gimme Some Lovin'. It's clearly improvised, and they don't even make it to the chorus (they would play similar versions in Mannheim and at Wembley later in the tour). The transition from this piece into Brian May's guitar solo is unique, as is his lead-in to Now I'm Here. The audience respond en masse after Mercury sings "here I stand." Brian, before Love Of My Life: "Thank you for having us back in Holland. You're the noisiest crowd in this world. You're great!" Big Spender is performed tonight for the first time since 1979. The band play the intro, but it breaks down when the vocal is supposed to enter. Freddie says, "Do it again, c'mon!" and they do so. They play the verse and chorus as they did in the 70s. This cover probably wasn't rehearsed either, as the ending is pretty loose. "Is that about it?" asks Freddie just before they end it. He notably sings "man of distinction," whereas in earlier years he purposely slurred the word "woman" so as to remain ambiguous in his sexuality. The band play a tighter version of the longer Friends Will Be Friends tonight, but nonetheless it would be reduced to two verses and choruses after a mere two performances. Freddie, at the end of the show: "Good night, you lovely people. See you soon! You rock!" Fred Mandel, Queen's auxiliary keyboardist for much of 1982 (and also appeared on The Works album), attended this show. One Vision from this show was broadcast on Dutch TV later in the week, on a program called "Veronica's Countdown." ![]() The first 24 pics were submitted by Alessio Rizzitelli. |

This is a pretty good recording overall, although a bit distant. Every known copy of this audience source has some digital errors in Now I'm Here and Love Of My Life. |

This second audience source doesn't sound quite as good. Most of Hammer To Fall is missing. |
