Milwaukee is the first stop of the third leg of the tour. Freddie's voice is very strong, as they have had 9 days off after the Rochester gig on Aug 31. There are a few moments where the band sound a bit rusty. Still, they sound energetic overall, as they are performing with the knowledge that they have finally conquered North America. It was on this day that their latest album had hit the top of the billboard album chart, so these last few weeks of the tour would more or less be the pinnacle of Queen's success in America. Brian, before Love Of My Life: "We have an album out called The Game." They're already cheering while he inquires, "Do you have it?" As if he needs to ask. "We just heard tonight it's gone to number one in Billboard with a bullet." He then thanks them graciously for their hand in that. Before Save Me, he asks the audience about his moustache, as he has on most nights of the tour: "Do you think I look like Burt Reynolds with this? A lot of people hate it, but I don't give a fuck, I tell you. I don't give two shits!" Here is a review of the show from the next day's Milwaukee Sentinel. The last photo set is © Todd K. Olsen. |

This is a substantial upgrade from the old bootleg copies. The sound is very clear, as the crowd never obstructs the music - however, Roger and John are a bit buried in the mix. Much of disc 2 runs slightly too fast. |
