This second show was not originally scheduled, but added due to ticket demand.

The setlist is not the same as the previous night, despite Greg Brooks' claim in his revised Queen Live book. If You Can't Beat Them is played instead of Fat Bottomed Girls, as these songs usually alternated nights.

Freddie's voice is in pretty good shape by 1979 standards, although he cracks badly at the end of the first verse of Somebody To Love.

Tonight we have excellent performances of I'm In Love With My Car, Spread Your Wings, and It's Late, as well as one of the best ever renditions of Now I'm Here, where Freddie even gets the audience to sing "Mustapha" and "Ibrahim" for fun. Here we have a particularly strong version of Don't Stop Me Now from Freddie too, especially in the middle section. Brian's embellishments in its guitar solo are gorgeous.

Before If You Can't Beat Them, Freddie says: "We're gonna do a song from an album called Jazz." There isn't too much reaction from the audience, as Freddie then says to himself, "Ok, now that went down well, didn't it?"

The Live Killers album version of Death On Two Legs is (mostly) from this concert, as is a small section of Get Down Make Love. See my Live Killers analysis for more details. Here's Freddie's preamble to Death On Two legs, including what was bleeped on the album: "This next song is from A Night At The Opera. This is about a dirty nasty man. We call him motherfucker. Do you know what motherfucker means? I'm sure you have a word for him. We call him, we also call him Death On Two Legs."

Despite claims that there was a third night in Barcelona, this promotional poster reveals only these two nights on the schedule.

This is a generally well-balanced, very good recording. The first few minutes of Brighton Rock are missing, as it cuts in during Brian's guitar solo. The quality drops a bit for the encores.
