Staying Power returns, and Back Chat is moved to be later on in the set. Both songs sound fantastic tonight. Like he did in Puebla last year, Brian plays some of I Go Crazy in his guitar solo, a non-album track that would be the B-side of Radio Ga Ga in 1984. Interestingly, he never did this after the song was actually released. The audience chant for Mustapha after Fat Bottomed Girls, and their wish is granted. After the first "Ibrahim", Freddie says, "I'm in tune", and then sings the rest of the a cappella intro. Freddie did not have perfect pitch (but his relative pitch was always spot on), so he is even surprised that he got it right. But this would be the last time he'd sing the Mustapha intro for a while - it wouldn't be heard again live until 1984. Brian breaks a string in the guitar solo of Bohemian Rhapsody, as he had unluckily done many times before. It's one of the major peaks of the show - not an ideal point to break a string. Another One Bites The Dust, We Will Rock You, We Are The Champions, and God Save The Queen were filmed for TV. Part of We Are The Champions (as well as some Frankfurt footage) was shown on the 1982 Queen documentary called "Musik Scene," and all four songs were shown on "The One & Only Queen," also aired in 1982. This great Vienna footage is included in its entirety in the extras on the Live At The Bowl DVD. Freddie is seen singing along with a few lines of God Save The Queen at the end of the show - a one-time occurrence. |

This is the best-sounding audience recording of the European tour, although there is some occasional tape crackle, particularly in Staying Power. There are many cuts between songs. |

This second audience source is missing the encores, although it does have the uncut Mustapha intro and the tape between the songs. |
