Freddie is at the piano for about a dozen songs at these early Game tour shows (nearly half the night), which is perhaps why Somebody To Love would be retired from the set until early 1981. This is the last show of the month, as the band take three weeks off before their next gig in Memphis on August 5. In a 1981 interview John Deacon explained why the band often took extended breaks between tour legs by this time: "We get on each other's nerves after a while. Then trouble starts up, and that rubs off on the show. A remedy for that is dividing tours up into single blocks and having holidays from each other in between." |
