During the vocal exchange after A Kind Of Magic, Freddie has to practically coerce the audience to keep up with him in the middle. To their credit (and his), he was singing some pretty challenging lines! Freddie puts in a much better performance tonight than last night.
He speaks to the audience throughout the show almost as if they don't know much about the band. Before Dust, he says to them, "I think it's time for a little boogie. Whether you like it or not we're gonna do it. Wonder if you remember a song that was written by John a while back, it's called Another One Bites The Dust. Yeah, we'll do it."
This is the first time Freddie would say, "We're gonna stay together until we die." He adds, "I mean, a couple nights... a of couple days." He goes on, "Anyway, we'd like to do a new song written by Brian. This is from the new album. If you don't know it yet, this is a preview. It's called Who Wants To Live Forever." He sings the second line first, so he reverses them: "There's no place for us; there's no time for us." Perhaps he did this on purpose, thinking nobody would notice the difference anyway.
Brian has a bit of trouble with the solo in I Want To Break Free.
Before Love Of My Life, Brian reveals, "Actually we spend a lot of time here, because this city has been an inspiration for a lot of our work."
Brian initiates a brief improv of Keep Yourself Alive after Bohemian Rhapsody.
This show took place while the World Cup final was being played in Mexico, between Germany and Argentina. According to a fan who was in the second or third row, the bouncers kept updating fans with the score throughout the show. About an hour into the show, they were informed that Germany had lost the game, so they sang as loud as they could to "We Are The Champions." Thanks to Martin Schu for the info.
