This show was originally scheduled to be at the Estadio Olímpico Chateau Carreras in Córdoba.

Freddie's voice is once again in superb shape tonight.

The band have a bit of trouble exiting the instrumental section of Now I'm Here. But what follows is a great vocal exchange with the audience, followed by Freddie saying, "Hey, not bad! C'mon, let's do it to tempo."

There is much anxiety on and off stage due to security concerns. People are trying to make their way on stage throughout much of the evening, making it an uncomfortable atmosphere for the band and entourage. As this article explains (in Spanish), thousands of people snuck into the venue without tickets, and with the strong police presence (noting that the country was weeks away from becoming a military dictatorship), things soon got out of hand. Another article says tensions were compounded by the fact that the band hadn't yet been paid for their previous show in Buenos Aires.

After this concert, the band had a meeting to decide whether or not to play the concert in Rosario two days later. Another article written about the show stated, "The proposal that followed was clear: if they didn't have the necessary security guarantees, there would be no show in Rosario."

Pics 2-4 were submitted by Alessio Rizzitelli, and pics 5-6 are from Alex Solan (taken during Crazy Little Thing Called Love and We Are The Champions respectively). The fourth soundcheck photo is of their front of house tech, James "Trip" Khalaf.

Here's a magazine article about the tour - primarily the Mar Del Plata and Rosario shows - submitted by Pittrek (unfortunately with unnecessary watermarks).

This piece of text from the article (translated by Silken) is particularly interesting: "During every show, the making of the film 'Queen on tourne' continued, for which eight cameras were used. The film will be completed with images from the Sao Paulo and Rio concerts, in Brazil. Of course there will also be scenes of the American tour and Japan." Not only is the possibility of more 1980/81 footage worth noting, but it also reveals that the huge concert scheduled to be played in Rio (on March 19) hadn't yet been cancelled by the second week of March.

This fragmentary recording is from an AM radio broadcast. Most of the banter between songs is cut, and the tape runs a bit fast.
