Here is a review of the show (1, 2, 3). It reveals that Liar is played tonight in place of It's Late, and has this to say about Brian's solo spot (thanks to Simon Possert for the translation): "Since Jimi Hendrix and Jimmy Page I've never seen or heard another guitarist play like that. Out of his guitar he coaxes completely new sounds, letting it whimper and scream, playing gently, then heavy again - and if fans applaud from time to time, his lips will form a shy smile."

In that post-show interview Mercury admits (possibly for the one and only time) that he had worked with a vocal coach at some point in 1977: "If I sing for two hours, I'll be unable to sing a tone afterwards. During our last US tour we had to cancel concerts because of that. I've already tried to take singing lessons in order to strengthen my vocal chords but even that is dangerous. I'd lose my feel for rock 'n' roll."

The first four pictures were taken by Uwe Matezki.
