Queen and Mott The Hoople played six consecutive shows at the Uris Theater. No rock act had ever played a Broadway venue before this pairing of bands, so being the opener, Queen were the first to do so.

They have dropped Great King Rat from the set, but they finish the show with Jailhouse Rock, something which they had regularly played in the past but didn't play often on their first US tour, it seems.

Here is a review of the show, which focuses mostly on Mott The Hoople, since they were the main act. Also, here is an ad for the Uris Theater shows, which also mentions all the other dates from the tour, notably including the ones that would soon be canceled. Many thanks to Mike Tremaglio for the submissions.

Mott The Hoople's sets on the next two nights were recorded, resulting in their "Live" album being released later in the year (also including material from the Hammersmith Odeon shows last year). A longer version of the New York material was later broadcast on the radio (the King Biscuit Flower Hour) and subsequently bootlegged numerous times.

The first photo set was submitted by Nino Trovato after great effort on his part to obtain them and develop them from the negatives. The last two photos were taken by Greg Jewers, and similar love and care was put into their digitization and restoration. All of the above may be from any of the six shows.
