City: New Orleans, LA, USA
Venue: St. Bernard Parish Civic Auditorium
Date: April 21, 1974

Setlist:
Procession, Father To Son, Ogre Battle, Son And Daughter, Great King Rat, Liar, Keep Yourself Alive, Modern Times Rock 'n' Roll

On a technical note, the venue for this show is just outside New Orleans, in an unincorporated community called Chalmette.

The guitar/bass/drum interplay throughout the show is superb - a perfect example of Queen playing their tails off to win over American audiences in the early days.

This is the earliest available recording of a Queen concert in North America. This is a good copy in stereo sound, although still many tape generations from the master.

It's possible that the recording may be incomplete, as the band encored with Big Spender and Bama Lama Bama Loo on other nights of this tour.

The first eight tracks on this disc are a recording of Freddie's pre-Queen band called "Ibex" from Liverpool on September 9, 1969. The Beatles cover, Rain, was used for the Freddie Mercury boxed set released in 2000.

The New Orleans material follows, and it is at least one tape generation worse than the recording listed above. Furthermore, Gypsy Eye added their horrible crackling sound to the top end, as they have with so many of their releases.

Count the typos on the back cover.
