These two outdoor shows in Irvine Meadows were originally planned for Anaheim, according to an early tour itinerary.
Taylor Hawkins of the Foo Fighters saw one of these two shows as a ten year old boy - his very first rock concert. About 15 years later he would find himself playing drums on a Brian May track called "Cyborg." When Roger Taylor joined the Foo Fighters on stage in New Jersey in 2005 to play drums on Tie Your Mother Down (two days before Queen + Paul Rodgers would play there), Hawkins said the Queen concert was the greatest show he ever saw.
