Queen were already in town the night before their show, as this was one of their favourite cities (much of The Game had been recorded at Musicland Studios). Brian May and Roger Taylor attended the AC/DC show at the Olympiahalle, after which there was a party at a place called the Sugar Shack. All members of Queen and AC/DC would attend, as well as The Scorpions, Barbara Valentin and other German celebrities. In a June 1981 interview with the German music magazine Popcorn, Roger called the Sugar Shack "the hottest disco in the world," and said the band liked the place so much that they gave the owners some of their gold discs.

A new song has been added to the set (at least, according to Freddie's introduction) called Fat Bottomed Cocks.

The band perform John Lennon's Imagine one last time in Munich.

The first five pictures were taken by Wolfgang Gürster. The sixth pic was taken by Renzo Archimede Olivieri, showing a groupie who briefly made her way on stage during Save Me (John Deacon is clearly amused in the background). Before the song, Mercury reacts to her: "What is she doing here? This happens to be the last night of the tour, so all kinds of things are going to happen, I'm sure. You can all take your clothes off, if you'd like. Do you understand what I'm saying, you motherfuckers?"

The eighth pic shows Deacon tossing his bass at the end of the last show of the year. The last pic shows Ratty, the head of the Queen crew, surveying the damage done by Roger to his kit before leaving the stage (Deacon actually helped destroy the rototoms).

This incomplete recording of the last show of the year is barely audible. There are some tape issues for much of Save Me.
