This is an excellent show overall. Musically and vocally the band are spot on; their tight harmonies stick out particularly in Killer Queen and Save Me. But there is one slight exception, as the band try out a new song tonight.

Part way through Now I'm Here, Roger begins the drum beat of Dragon Attack. Freddie totally botches the words, and the band have some trouble making their way through the changes. They only play one verse of the song, after which the band return to Now I'm Here to play the final segment. In fact, Dragon Attack would never be performed in its entirety, as its guitar solo would always make its way into either the beginning or ending of Now I'm Here. The songs would be paired together through 1985.

During the Now I'm Here improv, Freddie perhaps responds to someone throwing razors on stage, which was not an uncommon occurrence on this tour. "Check out my moustache," he demands, and continues on with his scat-like singing.

Another One Bites The Dust is in its infancy on stage. Mercury delivers an excellent version of their current hit single.

"It's nice to see and hear you Providence people again," says Brian after Fat Bottomed Girls. "I mean that. Ok this is the point in the show where we bring things down to a quieter level for a short time. It's gonna be a short time this time, alright? Anyway, for those of you who wanna sit down and have a little sleep, we might do this for you. This is called Love Of My Life." Perhaps the audience wasn't overly enthusiastic, or they didn't appear to embrace the idea of a brief acoustic set. Queen's acoustic sets in the US had always had varied fortunes from night to night, even at their peak in 1980.

Before Crazy Little Thing Called Love, Freddie says, "They tell me that I can't play the guitar, and I wholeheartedly agree, I tell you." Brian in the background adds, "That's right!" and giggles. Mercury continues, "I only know four fucking chords on this thing, and I'm going to try and include them in this next song. Are you ready?"

Pictures 1 through 17 were taken by Nino Trovato. Pics 18-31 were also submitted by him, although taken by another photographer. Pic 32 was taken by Thetman. Here's a brief breakdown of the first set:

This is a substantial upgrade to previous copies.

Throughout Brian May's solo spot, the new owner of Freddie Mercury's tambourine thrown away during Keep Yourself Alive can be heard playing it throughout, indicating how close to the stage the recording was taped from.

This version has an extra 15 seconds of tape before Now I'm Here after the tape flip, but it is missing the overture and most of Jailhouse Rock.
