Freddie's voice is in phenomenal shape on this tour - perhaps his strongest tour ever. It's curious that they dropped It's Late for this tour, as he would have been far more able to do the song justice now than earlier in the year.

Roger messes up the words in the first verse of I'm In Love With My Car, which throws off everyone in the band. It takes them more than a few bars to recover. Freddie eventually rescues the song by helping out with a few words.

A small musical tidbit: just before the first chorus of Get Down Make Love, on "everybody", Brian has often played a pentatonic lick to accompany the vocal. It seems this is the last time he would add this great little piece of musical texture.

Like in 1977, the Glasgow audience sings along with nearly every song. They even sing along with the guitar solo in Spread Your Wings, as it's the same chord progression as the chorus.

Liar is performed on this second night in Glasgow, as it was on the second night in Manchester.

Before launching into Crazy Little Thing Called Love, Mercury says, "We'd like to give you a very big thank you for making this a gold record. Thanks!"

Freddie nails Bohemian Rhapsody in its entirety, even eclipsing the studio version at a couple points. Later he needs three attempts to get the piano intro to We Are The Champions right, but since the audience is cheering after the end of We Will Rock You, they almost certainly don't notice the tiny flub.

A few songs are missing after Spread Your Wings. Crazy Little Thing Called Love cuts out after half a minute.

The left channel is much quieter than the right, but the tape hiss in both channels is identical, indicating that this is an analog watermark made during a tape transfer.

This copy sounds slightly better, but the quality decreases a bit after Now I'm Here. The first note of Don't Stop Me Now fades out, and the next minute of the song is missing (it fades back in at the exact same spot as on the copy listed above). The last few seconds of We Are The Champions are cut as well. However, it does include the unaltered Crazy Little Thing Called Love.

There are volume fluctuations throughout this copy that were very likely done as watermarks (like the cuts), and the transfer is a tad overblown for some of these segments. Additionally, sometimes the left channel decreases in volume while the tape hiss remains. All of these analog edits were done on purpose by the taper or someone close to them down the line, as indicated by the copy listed above that does not have these issues.

This copy is a couple generations closer to the master. The sound is better, and it is the most complete version, with ten extra seconds of tape before the cut in Don't Stop Me Now. The bass distortion is on the master, so the quieter moments actually sound quite good.

The volume fluctuations are on this copy as well, and most of the recording is panned off to the right channel after the tape flip in Don't Stop Me Now (most noticeably for about a minute of Spread Your Wings). The right channel is also slightly overblown.

Another 25 minutes of tape in the middle of the show were likely recorded, but have never circulated. This, along with the different watermarks on all three copies, all but confirm that it is entirely by design by the taper or someone close to them down the line.
