This is the evening show, at 6pm.

Freddie's voice isn't in the greatest shape tonight, after having already sung the afternoon show followed by a party between the gigs. He forgets a few words in the first verse of Bohemian Rhapsody, and barely manages to mumble his way through it. But he settles down by The Prophet's Song, where he throws a bit of Frère Jacques into the a cappella section, much to the delight of the audience. The vocal harmonies in the song sound great.

Brian has some tuning problems a few minutes into Brighton Rock. Not long after he sorts it out he incorporates a bit of the traditional Japanese folk song "Sakura" into his solo spot, something which he'd often play in Japan throughout the years in one form or another. Later he crafts some very nifty sounds in the Stone Cold Crazy solo.

The ever-underrated John Deacon's bass work is brilliant in Flick Of The Wrist and Doing All Right.

The band have a bit of trouble getting into the first verse of Keep Yourself Alive. A few bars after they fall apart Freddie cues everyone together by shouting, "Now!"

Brian, near the end of the set: "Thank you for being a really nice audience. We'd like to finish up with something from Sheer Heart Attack. This is a song by Freddie, who'll be tinkling ivories. This is In The Lap Of The Gods...Revisited."

The recording of the 6pm show is a few minutes longer than the afternoon show because of the inclusion of Big Spender and the wait for the second encore.

There is an irritating noise in the left channel for the first few minutes of the show, but it cleans up part way through Ogre Battle, but then sounds a bit distant in its mono sound for a little while. The taper fiddles back and forth between mono and stereo for a bit, and thankfully he decides on stereo, as it sounds excellent from then onward.

The original releases of the Zoom bootleg were Japanese, in 1994 and 1996. The second version was pressed on gold discs.

This Dutch re-release of Zoom has no divisions between tracks, leaving each disc as one long track. This is because it was taken from a cassette copy of the original Zoom CDRs (resulting in a bit worse sound quality), and the bootleggers didn't bother to insert track breaks.

Gypsy Eye's version has added their usual crackling sound. To their credit, however, they did manage to locate a well-transferred copy with less tape hiss, but it seems to be a higher generation copy as the sound really isn't as clear as on the Zoom bootlegs. It runs at the correct speed here (the Zoom bootlegs run a tad fast).

An unknown label released a bootleg of this show in January 2010. For some reason they slowed down the playback speed and swapped the left and right channels.

Mr Peach taped most of the Japan 1976 tour, including both Osaka shows. As always, the tapes are excellent, but the bootleg label has crushed them with compression.
