The above pictures were submitted by Nino Trovato after great effort on his part to obtain them and develop them from the negatives. They could be from any of the six consecutive shows (May 7-11, with two shows on the 10th) at the Uris Theater.

Queen have dropped Great King Rat from the set, but they finish the show with Jailhouse Rock, something which they had regularly played in the past but didn't play often on their first US tour, it seems.

Here is a review of the show, which focuses mostly on Mott The Hoople, since they were the main act. Also, here is an ad for the Uris Theater shows, which also mentions all the other dates from the tour, notably including the ones that would soon be canceled. Many thanks to Mike Tremaglio for the submissions.

Mott The Hoople's sets on the next two nights were recorded, resulting in their "Live" album being released later in the year (also including material from the Hammersmith Odeon shows last year). A longer version of the New York material was later broadcast on the radio (the King Biscuit Flower Hour) and subsequently bootlegged numerous times. It is faintly possible that Queen's opening sets were recorded as well.

This is the only known recording from the run of shows at the Uris Theater. Like most recordings from this era, it's a great document of Queen in their youth.

Procession, Father To Son, Ogre Battle, Son And Daughter, Keep Yourself Alive, Modern Times Rock 'n' Roll, Big Spender, Jailhouse Rock medley

This recording is missing Liar, but is in slightly better quality. Procession is actually from one of the LPs of the March 31 show in London.

Lineage: "Dear Friend Goodbye" LP

Procession, Father To Son, Ogre Battle, Son And Daughter, Liar, Keep Yourself Alive, Modern Times Rock 'n' Roll, Big Spender, Jailhouse Rock medley

This German 1993 bootleg is from the same audience source, but much of the recording is badly distorted.

The vinyl is coloured.
