City: Liverpool, UK
Venue: Cavern Club
Date: November 28, 1970

Bassist Barry Mitchell recalls how special these shows at the Cavern were because it was the same stage The Beatles had famously played on in their early days.

He also recalls how it was pouring rain outside on one of the two nights, and how Brian's shoes got soaking wet. Before they went on, Brian put the shoes on an electric fire to dry off, only to find them burning after the gig! Perhaps this may have had something to do with him often wearing clogs in the years to come.

The venue was rebuilt in the same spot in 1984, re-using some of the bricks from the original club. Queen has a spot on its wall of fame, between original Beatles drummer Pete Best and the Arctic Monkeys.
